The Pew Charitable Trusts announced seven pairs of researchers who will make up its 2025 class of Innovation Fund investigators, including Professor Eduardo Perozo (Department of BMB).
Dr. Perozo will work with Juan-Pablo Castillo from Centro Interdisciplinario de Neurociencia de Valparaíso, Chile, to interpret the molecular principles that underlie mechanotransduction, the process by which mechanical stimuli are translated into electrical signals that can be decoded by the brain.
